Be of Good Cheer

This morning I had a prompting to share this image of Jesus Christ. This painting was does by Jessica Shirley and is called “The Perfect Example.” I asked the Lord what message he would like to share with this picture, and the words of John 16:33 came into my mind. I began working to place the words of John 16:33 on the picture. I tried placing the words in multiple locations but none of them felt right. I prayed for guidance and the still, small voice of the Spirit whispered, “Place the words on the Savior.” As I placed the words on the Savior, I was overcome with Christ’s love, power, and grace. As I was taught that placing the words on the Savior was symbolic of placing my burdens on Jesus, I heard these words, “Come unto me, all ye that are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
